Designed for younger children as a first cycle, the Mini Tri-Lo has an easy to pedal gear with a broad seat for comfort and support.

Tri-Lo Hand propelled tricycles are designed specifically to provide fun therapy and independence for children with Spina Bifida and any other conditions where the use of lower limbs is restricted. Combining a robust frame with an easy to pedal drive unit the Tri-Lo enables children to get underway easily. Steering and braking is controlled through the hand cranks which allows children to learn to ride quickly. A broad seat with a padded backrest and a pelvic strap ensures a comfortable seating position when cycling.

Other additional supports can be added to provide greater postural control. A parent handle can be added if assistance when pedalling is required and a rear carrier basket can also be fitted to provide carrying capacity for essential toys and supplies.

SIZE: STANDARD

SUITABLE FROM 4½ YEARS

Height Range 94 cm (37″) to 120 cm (47″)

The Standard Tri-Lo is designed for children from around 4 1/2 to nine years. Larger rear wheels provide greater comfort over bumpy ground.

The second size in the range has greater capacity for adjustment for growth. The seat and backrest can be adjusted to suit the arm reach and leg position for the rider.

The low step-through frame allows easy access for the rider. A padded seat, padded backrest and pelvic strap provide good seating support when cycling. Locking parking brakes are fitted to both rear wheels and a progressive back pedal brake is fitted to the hand drive unit for controlling the speed and stopping. Other accessories can be added such as pelvic guides, push handle, crutch holder and chest strap.

SIZE: LARGE

SUITABLE FROM 8 YEARS

Height Range 110 cm (43″) to 138 cm (54″)

The third size in the Tri-Lo range is designed for larger children and adults of shorter stature. This models has 20″ wheels for increased comfort and greater speed.

The Large Tri-Lo is a responsive tricycle which is easy to steer and control. a robust frame with allowance for growth ensures the rider can gain a good seating position on the large comfortably padded seat. The tricycle has a 5 speed gear which provides greater freedom for the rider. Braking is provided by a back pedal coaster brake gear system which means the rider’s hands never have to leave the hand pedals when controlling the tricycle. Parking brakes are fitted to both rear wheels.

The convenience of using the Tri-Lo is a key criteria in its design, a large seat, removable armrests and a low step through frame allow easier transfers from a wheelchair or a seated position. The ability for the rider to transfer independently is a very important benefit of the Tri-Lo range. The addition of quick release wheels and a frame folding facility which allows the Tri-Lo to be transported easily in a car is also a major benefit.
