Understanding Support Points in Sitting

By April 6, 2020April 17th, 2020No Comments

Upright sitting that maximizes function is achieved by focusing on the areas of the pelvis, trunk, head, legs and feet. Start with the hips and provide support as needed. Maintain hip alignment using a seat belt and if more support is needed, consider a special needs seat belt with a crotch strap. If additional supports are needed, move up to the trunk and head and provide supports as needed in those areas.
